Dear
Sara and Allen,
I have had the unique pleasure of officiating weddings at the Chapel
for over 10 years. The simple yet elegant beauty of the Chapel and
grounds adds so much to a wedding ceremony no matter how many or
few are present. Any time of year the Chapel has its own unique
ambience that blesses everyone who enters, leaving cherished memories
to savor for years to come. Thank you for making this very special
place available for so many to enjoy.
Nancy Southern, Minister
"The
chapel will always remain as one of the most peaceful and wonderful
places that I have been in my life. My wedding was perfect there
and it is such a joyous place. I am sure we will visit often. Thank
you for watching over and keeping such a sacred place for others
to share."

"The
Victorian Valley Chapel is a jewel...a haven for silence and reflection,
celebration and ceremony. We are so blessed to have this beautiful
sanctuary available here on Orcas Island."

"In
over twenty years of performing wedding ceremonies, Victorian Valley
Chapel has become my favorite venue. I particularly appreciate the
acoustics, which are excellent, both for music and as a sounding box
for the human voice. It's an easy room to fill. I love the spare elegant
beauty of the design, a classic new england church, carefully reconstructed.
The valley itself is precious."

"Orcas
a Cappella has just finished its final recording session at the
Chapel. It was a perfect place to record. The acoustics are wonderful
for an intimate group, and we couldn't have asked for a quieter
venue - perfect for recording as there was little or no extraneous
noise...it's as quiet as a church mouse! We were so glad we thought
of the Victorian Chapel, and can't thank you enough for your hospitality!"
Dennis Bonner, Director
"Upon
just the first clap of the hands inside the front door, it becomes
instantly apparent that Victorian Valley Chapel, with its vibrant
acoustics and richly sonorous natural reverberation, is a utopian
space for the performance and recording of music. The high ceiling,
hardwood floors and large stained-glass windows of the main room
allow any instrument or voice to be captured at its fullest resonant
potential. For expanded sonic options, two closets of differing
size and the slightly larger foyer can also be utilized, as they
present the ability to isolate sounds according to the desired application.
The quiet heating system and an abundance of electrical outlets
make for conveniently modern ease of use, in an otherwise timeless
intersection of serenity and creative potential."
